Step-by-Step Guide to Correcting Voter ID Card Information
Visit the Website:
- Go to services.nidw.gov.bd.
Register Your Account:
- Register an account using your NID number, birth date, and address. If you already have an account, log in.
Edit Your Information:
- After logging in, go to your profile and click on the edit link to correct your information.
Submit Application:
- Upload the required documents and pay the correction fee. Submit your application. Once approved, your information will be corrected.
Detailed Steps for Correcting National ID Card Information
Step 1 – Prepare Documents
Scan or take clear photos of the necessary documents. Ensure they are cropped to the correct size.
Step 2 – Register on the NID Website
If you are not already registered on the NID website, register first. If you are registered, log in using your NID number and password.
Step 3 – Correct Information

How to Pay the Correction Fee via bKash
To pay the fee using bKash, log into your bKash account through the bKash app and follow these steps:
- Go to the “Pay Bill” option.
- Click on “Government Fees” and select the “NID Service” option.
- Enter your NID number in English.
- Choose the type of application you are submitting.
- Enter your bKash account PIN to complete the payment.
Once you have paid the fee, go back to the National ID card website, upload the required documents, and submit your application.
Step 5 – Upload Documents and Submit Application
As mentioned in Step 1, you should have scanned or taken photos of the necessary documents and saved them in a folder. Now, upload these documents as required and submit your application.
To prove the changes you are requesting for your ID card, you will need to upload supporting documents. For personal information corrections, the most effective proofs are educational certificates, passports, or driving licenses. Additionally, you should upload your online birth registration certificate.
Step 6 – Download the Voter ID Correction Form
After submitting your application, return to the dashboard. You will see a link to download your application at the top. Click the link to download and save the National ID correction form for your records.
Correcting Birth Date on Voter ID Card
To correct your birth date on your voter ID card, go to the services.nidw.gov.bd website and register using your National ID number and birth date. Then log in and go to the profile option. Click the edit link to enter the correct birth date and pay the fee. Finally, upload the required documents and submit your application.
To correct the birth date on your National ID or voter ID card, you need an SSC or equivalent academic certificate and a digital birth registration certificate. If you don’t have an academic certificate, you can use a passport, driving license, MPO sheet, service book copy, or marriage certificate.
Voter ID Card Name Correction
To correct your name on the Voter ID card, you need to provide any one of the following documents:
- JSC/SSC/HSC or equivalent educational certificate
- Birth certificate
If you do not have an educational certificate, you can provide any one of these documents:
- Passport

- Marriage certificate

It is recommended to provide at least two documents as proof of your name or date of birth. You can apply with just one document, but the chances of approval are lower.
Other Information Correction on National ID Card
