What to Do After Being Selected in the Merit List for Admission

If you pass the first merit list, complete the online final admission form right away. You can do this on your phone too. Download and save a copy of the admission form because you will need to print it later.

You must have two copies of the admission form: one for the college and one for yourself. Pay the admission fee as directed by the college and submit the fee and required documents. The college will tell you how to pay. This will complete your honors degree admission.

Even if you don’t get your preferred subject through the first merit list, you still need to fill out the final admission form, pay the fee, and submit the documents. Without doing this, you won’t be able to migrate. Follow all guidelines carefully to ensure successful admission.

List of Required Documents for Degree Admission:

  2. Original SSC and HSC mark sheets with 2 photocopies.

How Much Is the National University Degree Admission Fee?

The National University charges a registration fee of 485 Bangladeshi Taka (BDT). Besides this, students must also pay the college’s tuition and session fees. At a government college, the total cost usually ranges from 3,000 to 5,000 BDT. In private colleges, the cost can be 10,000 BDT or more. You need to pay all these fees according to the college’s instructions.

What to Do If You Don’t Get Your Preferred Subject

Sometimes, even if you are on the merit list, you might not get your preferred subject. This can be disappointing, but don’t worry! If you don’t get your desired subject from the subject change list between the 2nd and 9th, you might still have a chance to get it through migration.

Rules for Migration in Degree Admission

When you fill out the NU final admission form online, you will see a question asking, “Do you want to change your assignment subject based on your preference list?” If you didn’t get your 1st choice and want to migrate, click “Yes.” If you don’t want to change to a subject from the list, click “No.” You can continue without migration if you prefer.

Final Step: After answering the question, provide your present address on the left side and your permanent address on the right side. Once everything is correct, click “Save Information.” Then, click “Download” to get the final admission form. Print it out; it will include one copy for the college and one for you.

How to Submit Degree Admission Fees

National University does not use a standard method for collecting degree admission fees. Each college has its own way of handling this. Check the notice board of your college to see how and where to pay your fees. You might be able to pay through bKash, Rocket, or directly at the college’s cash counter.

How to Pay Admission Fees via bKash

  1. Open the bKash app and select “Pay Bill.” Then choose your college’s name or biller ID (find this information on the college’s admission notice).
  2. Enter your student ID or admission roll number (from the admission notice). The amount to pay will appear automatically; do not change it. Click next.
  3. Review the payment amount. No changes needed. Click next.
  4. Enter your bKash PIN and confirm. With a stable internet connection, your payment will process immediately.

What to Do If You Want to Change Colleges

If you get your first choice on the merit list but prefer another college, wait for the release slip instead of completing the final admission form. This will keep your options open.

Advantages:

  • Apply to up to five different colleges.

Disadvantages:

  • Good colleges might have no available seats.

If you want to get into a government college and consider changing colleges, it’s best to wait for the release slip.
